David, from Compost Wheels, came by today to teach our 5th graders about the importance of composting.
He taught them about the types of food that can be composted and students completed a relay race to sort different foods between the trash can and the compost bin.
Then students created posters to show how they can compost both at school and at home.

When you sign up, be sure to tell them you go to Springdale Park so we can recognize your family as a leader in the movement to reduce our waste by composting our fruit and vegetable scraps.
