Field Trip to Uncle Bob’s Pumpkin Patch

Today, Kindergarteners took a trip out to Uncle Bob’s Pumpkin Patch to reinforce the science standards they had learned. On this trip, students gained hands-on experiences that reinforced what they had learned about

  • identifying plant and animal basic needs
  • comparing similarities and differences between different kinds of animals and their young
  • observing the features of plants and animals

The kids had a blast being led around the farm!

They took a hayride around the farm…

They learned about bats and observed honeybees…

They were able to pet sheep and goats and visit the chicken house…

They took a hike on the nature trail ending with a beautiful vine tunnel…

They learned about creating pots from Georgia red clay…

They wandered around and explored the multiple gardens and animals living on the farm…
