This season, we’ll be visiting our local farmers markets to meet some of our farmers! Save the following dates and plan to meet me there for a market tour and other educational programming!
Saturday, May 4th (9:00 AM – 10:00 AM) – Morningside Farmers Market
Come take a tour of the market and visit Nicolas from Crystal Organics Farm who has donated all of our seedlings to us this year! See the blog post about everything he has donated to our garden here.

Thursday, May 9th (5:30 – 6:30 PM) – East Atlanta Village Farmers Market
See a cooking demonstration by our friend Seth Freedman of Forage and Flame!
Come hungry! Grab a pizza from our friends at S&J Pizza and get dessert from King of Pops who has donated so much to our school in an effort to provide healthier treats for our kids.
Love is Love Farm will be there with some delicious produce from right down the street in Decatur. Come say hi to Farmer Joe who provides our school with our CSA boxes!
Jonathan from Sparta Imperial Mushrooms is generously donating mushroom kits to the first 25 SPARK kids that visit his stand at the market!
Mercier Orchards, who has provided Atlanta Public Schools with fresh apples for our Produce of the Month program, will be at the farmers market too See a post about their fruit being served in our cafeteria here.
Our friends from Ranger, Riverview Farms, will be at this market as well!
