This weekend, Community Farmers Markets and Georgia Organics joined forces to host the 3rd Annual Farm Scavenger Hunt at Love is Love Farm as part of the Atlanta Science Festival.
Families investigated soil types… 
And learned about how compost is formed with David from Compost Wheels. 
They learned about how some plants can grow without soil in a system called aquaponics with Larisa from Arkfab. 
Families worked together to discover how different phytonutrients in fruits and vegetables nourish their bodies. 
Then they prepared and tasted some of the locally-grown seasonal veggies in tacos with Chef Philip Meeker.
