Yoga Lesson: Tree Pose

Tree Pose
Vrksasana (vrik-SHAHS-anna)
I send roots down deep into the earth.
  • Breathe in and out.
  • Stand straight and tall.
  • Feel your legs reaching toward the ground.
  • Feel your head reaching toward the sky.

I am focused and stable.

  • Place one foot inside the opposite leg.
  • Imagine roots growing from your foot into the ground.
  • Let your leg be strong like the trunk of a tree.

I reach high to the sky.

  • Breathe in and out.
  • Stretch your arms out like branches.

I am a beautiful tree.

{Remember, don’t worry if you start to fall; just smile and start from the beginning.}
